After defeating Holger Rune, Novak Djokovic snaps at "disrespectful" taunts

With a commanding victory against No. 15 seed Holger Rune on Center Court at the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, Novak Djokovic punched his ticket to the Wimbledon quarterfinals.

The No. 2 seed in the competition, Novak Djokovic, became snarky with the audience after he felt there had been some disrespect.

Despite not understanding what the crowd was chanting during the match, the World No. 2 defeated Rune in straight sets. "RUUUUUUUNE" cries from the audience were in support of Denmark's Rune, but Djokovic believed he was being jeered.

In his post-match interview, Djokovic stated, "I know they are cheering from Rune, but that's just an excuse for them to boo me too."

During his interview, he also made fun of the audience, wishing them a "GOOOOOOOOODNIGHT!"

On Wednesday, July 10, Djokovic will play Australia's Alex de Minaur in the quarterfinals. De Minaur, ranked ninth in the rankings, defeated Frenchman Arthur Fils in four sets to secure his spot in the quarterfinals of the competition.

On Sunday, July 14, the Wimbledon gentleman's final will take place on Center Court. ESPN will air the game starting at 9:00 a.m. ET.
